Welcome to Rise Through Becoming.
If you're new here, I'm Sandra—a registered nurse, nursing educator, Board-Certified Nurse Coach, and lifelong believer that our greatest transformations happen one intentional step at a time.
Whether you've been here since the beginning or you're just joining this community, I'm so glad you're here.
If you've wondered where I've been these past several months, I want to let you in on something.
I didn't disappear.
I've been becoming.
My first year as a full-time nursing faculty member has been one of the busiest—and most rewarding—seasons of my career. I poured my heart into preparing lectures, supporting students, and learning what it truly means to help shape the next generation of nurses.
At the same time, I accomplished something deeply personal.
I finished writing my memoir.
That journey challenged me in ways I never expected. It reminded me that becoming isn't always glamorous. Sometimes it looks like long days, late nights, moments of self-doubt, and simply choosing to keep going anyway.
But that wasn't all.
I've also been investing in you.
Over the past several months, I've been expanding my knowledge so I can better support the women who trust me with their health journeys.
One area I've been studying extensively is GLP-1 medications. Whether you're taking a GLP-1 medication, considering one, or simply trying to understand your options, I believe you deserve accurate information and compassionate support—not judgment.
As a nurse, nursing educator, and Board-Certified Nurse Coach, my role isn't to tell you what you should do.
My role is to help you understand your options, make informed decisions, and build sustainable habits that support your health for years to come.
I'm also completing certification as a Human Rights Consultant because I've always believed healthcare should honor the dignity, autonomy, and worth of every individual. Every woman deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered to make the choices that are right for her.
Those values have guided my nursing career for more than three decades, and they'll continue to guide my coaching practice.
So...what's next?
This season feels different.
I'm making time again for the work that fills my heart—writing, teaching beyond the classroom, coaching, and building a community where women feel seen, supported, and empowered.
You'll begin seeing new blog posts, practical health education, stories from my own journey, and honest conversations about everything from menopause and stress to burnout, resilience, and becoming the healthiest version of ourselves.
We'll celebrate the victories, learn from the setbacks, and remind each other that progress is rarely perfect—but it's always worth pursuing.
Because Rise Through Becoming has never been about having all the answers.
It's about showing up.
Learning.
Growing.
And becoming.
I'm so glad you're here, and I can't wait to share this next chapter with you.
👑 What are you becoming right now?
Maybe you're rebuilding your health.
Maybe you're learning to set boundaries.
Maybe you're rediscovering yourself after years of putting everyone else first.
Or maybe you're simply learning to give yourself the same grace you so freely give to everyone else.
Wherever you are on your journey, I'd love to hear from you. Share in the comments or send me a message. Your story matters, and I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
